Sen. Ted Cruz R-Tx may not be finished this election cycle.

In an interview with Glenn Beck, Cruz announced that if he ends up beating out Donald Trump in the Nebraska primary, he will re-enter the GOP primary race, saying a win is not likely, but if it happens, anything is possible.

“Well, I am not holding my breath,” Cruz told Beck. “My assumption is that will not happen.”

“But listen, let’s be very clear: If there is a path to victory, we launched this campaign intending to win,” Cruz said. “The reason we suspended the race last week is with Indiana’s loss I didn’t see a viable path to victory. If that changes, we will certainly respond accordingly.”

Even if he doesn’t win Nebraska, Cruz said he’s not quite ready to endorse Trump, telling Beck “We need to watch and see what the candidates do.”

As for a third-party alternative, which conservative thought leaders have been floating for weeks now, Cruz shot down the idea, saying it is not a viable option if the GOP is interested in defeating Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton in the general election.
