Hollywood liberals never quit…

Comedic actor Will Ferrell, who often mocked former President George W. Bush during his stint on “Saturday Night Live,” is taking his talent to ever greater lows.

He’s been slated to portray the late Republican President and hero to conservative Ronald W. Reaganafter he became afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease, according to Variety.

A live reading of the script, written by Mike Rosolio and titled “Reagan,” was performed in March by Lena Dunham, John Cho and James Brolin in March.

The film takes place at the beginning of Reagan’s second term in office when he allegedly first contracted Alzheimers, and is about an intern who’s given the assignment of convincing Reagan that he’s playing the role of a president in a movie.

Variety reported:

Ferrell will produce along with production banner Gary Sanchez Productions. The package currently is without a director but will soon be shopped to studios.

Ferrell is no stranger to political humor having portrayed former President Bush several times over the years on “Saturday Night Live.” He would eventually took the impression to Broadway in the play “You’re Welcome America.” He also starred in the political comedy “The Campaign” opposite Zach Galifianakis.

Best known for his live-action short films, “Reagan” marks Rosolio’s big screen debut.

Variety tweeted:

And the tweeps weren’t necessarily impressed.

And then there was this:

It’ll never happen — Hollywood only mocks conservatives.
