‘Yeah, I have weed on me!’ Reporters can’t get enough of driver who led cops on high-speed chase

A more than hour-long high speed chase through five Texas counties finally came to a close when police blew out two of the suspect vehicle’s tires with spike strips and fired at another.

“Yeah, I have weed,” suspect Jonathan Davis told reporters as he sat in the back of a squad car after the chase that exceeded 100 miles per hour at times.

But as insane as the chase was, it was nothing compared to the interview afterwards — it brought “bizarre” up to a whole new level. Neither the reporters, nor the suspect seemed to get enough of the exchange.

“I’m done with people trying to take my freedom because I smoke weed,” David told reporters.

The chase ended just north of Waco, prompting one reporter to ask if that was his destination.

“Dude, I was trying to get to San Antonio,” he told the female reporter. “I didn’t know what the f**k roads I was on.”

He was upset that the officers shot at his car when, “damn, I ain’t got no gun.”

When asked about drugs, Davis said, “Yeah, I have weed on me. I always have weed on me.”

When asked what was on his mind when he was being chased by squad cars and helicopters, Davis claimed he was Snapchatting. “Snapchattin’ and Instagrammin’,” he said.
