U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla., said he has no plans to take Harry Reid’s advice to drop out of the Florida senate race.
On Friday, the U.S. Senate Minority Leader said in a statement that Grayson had “no moral compass” and had unethically used his position in office, according to Fox News.
“His actions aren’t just disgraceful to the Democratic Party, they disgrace the halls of Congress,” Reid said.
Looking to fill Marco Rubio’s Senate seat in Florida, Grayson is running in the Democratic primary against U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, who is supported by Reid and the Democrat establishment.
Reid accused the congressman of using his office to promote a hedge fund he controlled, challenging his claims to be a progressive candidate. Grayson charged that Reid was using a “false and misleading hyped story to try to pressure me out of this race,” reported Fox.
“I never used my Congressional office to advance any business interest or for personal gain, and to say so is utterly deceitful,” he said in a statement. “I resent the attack on my `morality,’ and I question the morality and judgment of any elected official, much less one in my own party, who would sink so low as to engage in such a smear.”
Many social media users were quick to see the irony in the debate.

@FoxNews Reid saying anyone doesn’t have a moral compass is beyond laughable. That’s like Satan telling the Anti-Christ the same. LOL
