There was nothing diminutive about the charge leveled by pint-size actor Danny DeVito in response to the Academy Awards’ alleged lack of diversity.
Using big strokes, DeVito painted all of America as “a racist country.”
The actor, director and producer commented on the controversy over no black actors being nominated for an Oscar this year during an Associated Press interview at the Sundance Film Festival.
“It’s unfortunate that the entire country is a racist country,” DeVito said. “So it’s an example of the fact that even though some great people have given some great performances in movies, they weren’t even thought about.”
The Hollywood moonbat then got his hate on for America.
“We are living in a country that discriminates and has certain racist tendencies,” he continued. “So sometimes it manifests itself in things like this and it’s illuminated. But just generally speaking, we’re a bunch of racists.”
Then again, what do you expect from a big-time supporter of self avowed socialist Bernie Sanders.
“I’m into Bernie Sanders,” DeVito said. “I think Bernie Sanders is somebody that we really have to focus on… because Bernie’s got the goods. He really knows what he’s talking about and he’s got all the issues down.”
“Bernie will give us the best shot at getting equality for men and women, African-Americans, and all people of color; he’ll give us the best shot at healthcare; he’ll give us the best shot at the international situation so that we don’t start blowing things up, and to try to pull back a bit on the Imperialism,” he added.
DeVito, worth an estimated $80 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, did not mention that Sanders also gives us the best shot at insolvency.
