Best Actress nominee comes out and says it: Isn’t Oscar boycott ‘racist to whites?’

A white Oscar nominated actress is taking fire for stating the obvious.

Perhaps, there weren’t any black actors or actresses whose efforts were worthy of an Academy Awards nomination this year.

Charlotte Rampling, who is nominated for the best actress award for her part in “45 Years,” even went as far as calling a boycott of the awards ceremony “racist to whites.”

“One can never really know, but perhaps the black actors did not deserve to make the final list,” the 69-year-old told French Radio network Europe 1 Friday. “Why classify people? These days everyone is more or less accepted… People will always say: ‘him, he’s less handsome’; ‘him, he’s too black’; ‘he is too white’… someone will always be saying ‘You are too’ [this or that]… But do we have to take from this that there should be lots of minorities everywhere?”

Social media went crazy slamming Rampling.

Others fired back wondering how her statement was “racist” as some had claimed.
