WH Secret Service agent has gun, badge, flash drive stolen from car

Add this to the growing list of  Secret Service gaffes as the agency reels from recent embarrassing security breaches.

In downtown Washington Monday, near the agency’s headquarters, items were stolen from an agent’s personal vehicle which was parked in the area, according to Fox News Channel.

The agent’s gun, badge, radio, handcuffs and flash drive were stolen, according to police.

The report, filed with the Metropolitan Police Department, detailed the items as a black Sig Sauer handgun, an APX6000 radio, handcuffs, a USB flash drive, a black Patagonia bag and a Secret Service badge, number 1266. There were no details on the contents of the flash drive, according to Fox.

The agent reportedly is part of the presidential protection division. A fact that must be a real comfort to the White House.
