State Dept. issues ‘urgent message’ warning Americans of possible terror attack

So much for President Obama’s languid attempts to ease the country’s fears of another terrorist attack.

Based on the results of “threat information,” the State Department issued an “urgent” message Saturday warning American citizens of a possible terror attack in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad, according to Fox News.

Not that any day in Pakistan wouldn’t present an increased risk for Americans.

The potential attack would likely occur during the holiday season and places of worship and shopping centers are among the possible targets.

Fox News reported:

The State Department message also advises private U.S. citizens to “exercise particular caution” during the holiday season and at holiday festivals or events. It also says to minimize the number and duration of trips to public markets, restaurants, hotels, places of worship and other locations in which large numbers of people congregate.


A travel warning for Pakistan had been issued by the State Department in August, followed by a rare worldwide travel alert following the terrorist attack in Paris that claimed the lives of at least 129 people.
