‘You made my day!’ Woman who saw THIS at McDonalds couldn’t believe her eyes

A McDonald’s restaurant in Tennessee is at the center of a Facebook post that has gone viral due to its window display.

The Spring Hill store features a Nativity scene painted on its window with the words “His name is Jesus” and “Rejoice.”

The sight was a surprise to Amy Basel, who ended up taking a picture and posting it to her Facebook page  with the comment, “Drove by and did a double-take. Growing up in the mitten, you would NEVER see this. Tennessee McDonald’s…you made my day.”

The post, from December 14, has since been viewed over 69 thousand times, and garnered over 98 thousand “likes.”

Though the photo has gone viral, owners Tony and Gina Wolfe said the painted nativity scene has been a tradition for years at this, and other McDonald’s locations they own.

“It’s a family business which has been owned and operated by my family for 40 years,” Wolfe told WZTV.  “My dad started this 40 years ago when he had a local art student paint it on his store. My husband and I have been owners for 28 years and we’ve done this or something similar during Christmas each year. I guess with social media, it’s taken off.”

A refreshing change to the “war on Christmas” incidents often in the news, Wolfe told WZTV the community is very supportive of the tradition.

“We have so many people that tell us it really kicks off the season for them when they see it on our stores. We are so pleased people enjoy it.”
