Conservative author and talk radio host Mark Levin used social media to take a swipe at Donald Trump Sunday for remarks the Republican presidential frontrunner had made that morning about Sen. Ted Cruz.
“I don’t think he’s qualified to be president,” Trump told “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace. “Because I don’t think he has the right temperament. I don’t think he has the right judgment.”
He gave as an example going into the Senate “a little bit like a maniac.”
Sunday afternoon, Levin tweeted:
So, Trump thinks Cruz is a maniac for taking on McConnell and the GOP establishment? … https://t.co/tEm1he2Ixi

To be fair, Trump didn’t actually call Cruz a maniac; he said Cruz was “a little bit like a maniac.”
On the other hand, it could be that Trump sees a real competitor in Cruz, as some polls show the Texas Republican ahead of the billionaire businessman in Iowa, and indicate that he’s creeping up on him nationwide.
