Palin speaks out about why she got fired from Fox News; don’t mess with Megyn Kelly?

Sarah PalinSarah Palin finally spoke out on being fired from Fox News.

In an interview with CBN News the former Alaska governor said she was let go because she “called someone out.”

Many people have speculated that someone was Megyn Kelly because in Palin’s last appearance as an employee of the cable news giant on “Hannity” she called out “the media” for exploiting the Duggar girls in light of the revelation that their brother Josh inappropriately touched them.

At the time Kelly had recently aired an exclusive interview with the sisters.

“Some things happened that I haven’t talked about publicly, mentioned a little bit about them in the book (“Sweet Freedom: A Devotional”), things like getting canned from a job I really liked, kinda sort of out of the blue, because I called somebody out,” Palin told CBN News.

She said she still has a great relationship with the network but the firing was a surprise.

“It was a shock, but more power to Fox News. As a private enterprise they can fire somebody for wearing the wrong color tie that day,” she said. “I have a great relationship with them. It was just kind of a little bit of a shocker of knowing that the haters are going to love this one.”

Declining to comment, a Fox News spokesperson pointed us to an article which noted that Palin’s contract was simply not renewed and “her appearances were sometimes hampered by the vast time difference with Alaska.”
