A Black Lives Matter protester’s remarks to a New York City police officer got way too ugly at a Thursday night demonstration.
The protesters demonstrated in front of New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s official residence at Gracie Mansion, and demanded that NYPD Officer Daniel Pantaleo be fired for the 2014 death of Eric Garner.
The demonstrator, affiliated with the group “Justice League NYC,” took his anger out on the officers standing guard for the mayor.
While the majority of protesters chanted such slogans as, “Fire Pantaleo,” one got directly into the officers’ faces.
“Nobody looks at you like a hero,” he said. “Just like a racist.”
“Shut the f*** up,” he said, although the officers stood silently. “That’s why I hate you all.”
The video also depicts several of the demonstrators being arrested. According to the group’s Twitter feed, there were 20 arrests made.
