A Black Lives Matter encampment was bulldozed on Thursday at the behest of Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges, proving she may be one Democrat who has had enough of pandering to the “movement.”
Following in the footsteps of the Occupy Wall Street fiasco, race activists set up the encampment outside the Fourth Precinct police station in north Minneapolis to protest the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Jamar Clark.
A suspect in an assault, Clark was shot and killed on Nov. 15 during a physical struggle with police after he allegedly tried to interfere with EMT workers providing aid to a victim, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
The police union says Clark was shot after he tried to take a gun from one of the officers.
The BLM camp, part of the #4thPrecinctShutDown protest, had been in place for over two weeks.
Eight people were arrested after police issued dispersal orders around 4 a.m., giving them 15 minutes to skedaddle — there were about 50 protesters on hand, the Star-Tribune reported.
On a rare occasion, the BLM movement provided a public service by giving America a birds eye view of the destruction via social media.
Here’s a sampling from Twitter capturing the carnage, to include commentary from Mr. “Hand Up, Don’t Shoot” himself, D

.@MayorHodges, you’ve destroyed the items at the #4thPrecinctShutDown but you can’t destroy the spirit & purpose of the protestors.
