Despite the left dismissing his efforts as “divisive,” a Georgia county sheriff has taken a stance against political correctness in a very public way.
Harris County Sheriff Mike Jolley posted a sign outside his office this week cautioning visitors on what they can expect when in his county:
“WARNING: Harris County is politically incorrect. We say: Merry Christmas, God Bless America and In God We Trust. We salute our troops and our flag. If this offends you…LEAVE!
Naturally, the sign is getting plenty of attention on social media, as seen here:

Tired of the silent majority becoming “more silent,” Jolley hopes to “stir people’s belief and patriotism,” according to the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer.
“It’s time for the silent majority to stand up for our beliefs and not be ashamed,” the elected sheriff said.
And that’s not to say that Jolley excludes non-Christians.
“They’re more than welcome to worship whatever God they choose fit,” Jolley said, when asked about those who aren’t Christians. “For me and mine, we worship Jesus Christ.”
The sign cost $553 and Jolley paid for it himself, purchasing it from D&S Sign Company, which supports his message:

The perpetually offended folks at the Freedom From Religion Foundation are not as pleased, saying the sign is “proactive and divisive,” the Washington Post reported.
Obama’s media excuses him from ‘ridiculous’ American
tradition of pardoning a turkey; it’s beneath him?
“It makes visitors and citizens who are not religious or who believe in separation of church and state feel unwelcome,” president Annie Laurie Gaylor told the Post. “It’s essentially turning believers into insiders and minorities or non-believers into outsiders.”
But Jolley isn’t backing down. Appearing on “Fox & Friends” Friday, the sheriff said, “If it truly offends someone…maybe they’re in the wrong country.”

An opinion that is well supported, based on the reaction on social media. Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:
