Trump’s lawyer offers ominous warning for GOP: ‘Woe be on them’ if they break promise

Donald Trump’s team has increased its threats towards the Republican Party to treat the front-runner ‘fairly,’ or else.

On Tuesday, Trump’s attorney Michael Cohen appeared on CNN with an ominous warning.

If the other candidates’ supporters pooled their funds to launch attack ads against Trump, it would be a “bad, bad decision,” he said.

The group that has planned the negative ad campaign is the Super PAC supporting Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

The group’s spokesman, Matt David, indicated that 10 new donors had joined the campaign since Politico ran a story on Thursday about its plan.

Cohen told CNN that Trump’s pledge to not run as an independent would be void if such an attack were to occur.

“If they treat him fairly, he will honor the pledge because he’s an honorable guy. If they break that agreement with him, as they say ‘woe be on them,'” Cohen said.

“If they don’t, this will be a very, very bad thing for the Republican Party,” he added.

Social media ran to Trump’s defense.
