A heartbreaking photo of the infant daughter of a deceased Colorado state trooper is featured in a social media post from the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office that reminds viewers of the horrible cost of drunk driving.
The child’s mother, Colorado State Patrol Trooper Jaimie Jursevics, was killed last week when a drunk driver hit her while she was working the scene of a minor accident along I-25.

The driver of the vehicle that hit her, Eric Peter Henderson, 52, a retired Army colonel, faces charges of driving drunk, vehicular homicide and hit-and-run, the Denver Post reported.
“I killed a cop,” Henderson told detectives through tears after he was arrested in the case.
According to a friend, Henderson had consumed at least six beers last Sunday while attending a Denver Broncos football game.
“For anyone who is planning on just having a ‘few beers’ and driving home after, look at this little girl,” the sheriff’s office wrote on Facebook.
“She will grow up without her Mother. … Is it worth it?”
