Death threats, stalking put white student’s job in jeopardy after she criticized Black Lives Matter

A Georgia Southern University student targeted by Black Lives Matter for criticizing the movement was rumored to have been fired after her job was inundated with phone calls, but her employer disputes the claim.

Emily Faz posted a stinging commentary on social media after seeing supporters of the Black Lives Matter movement complaining that last week’s terrorist attacks in Paris had eclipsed media coverage of alleged incidents of “racial injustice” at the University of Missouri.

“I swear if I see this B.S. at Southern I will make you regret even knowing what a movement or a hashtag is, and you’ll walk away with your tail tucked,” Faz wrote on her Facebook page.

“The whole black lives matter movement is misguided and out of hand,” she continued. “Maybe no one likes or takes y’all seriously because no one can see past your egotistical bulls–t. Some people might just look past it, but fair warning I am not one. All lives matter, that has always been the case, and you part of the problem if you think otherwise.”

Her criticism led to the expected overreaction by hypersensitive social justice warriors, to include members of the Georgia Southern University NAACP chapter staging a walkout.

Other students responded by attacking Faz online, to include listing the telephone number to where she worked:

The website Everything Georgia reported that Faz was terminated, but Wild Wing Cafe-Statesboro issued a statement on Thursday to clarify that she was still employed:

The team at Wild Wing Cafe-Statesboro would like to express our appreciation for your feedback and concern for one of our employees. As we are sure you all understand, you cannot believe everything you hear on social media. While all personnel matters must remain confidential, we believe this situation calls for clarification. We would like to personally assure you Emily Faz has not been terminated. As we said yesterday, our establishment supports each citizen’s First Amendment right. It is also our unconditional responsibility and number one priority to provide a safe environment for all of our team members and we will continue to do so. We hope you can understand this is a sensitive personnel matter and please trust we are handling with absolute care.”

Faz posted a long follow-up message on her Facebook page to concur that she was not fired, but will be taking time off until after Thanksgiving. She also said she has received death threats over the incident:

“This whole ordeal has been insane. Here are things people need to know from me, because it is the truth. In regards to my job, I WAS NOT FIRED. When all of this began to unfold, I received death threats, threats to show up at my job, my job experienced people walking in looking for me, people stalking the outside of the restaurant, and they called the local sheriffs office to report it.”

“My boss and I agreed that for my safety and my coworkers safety that I wait to come back to work until after Thanksgiving break,” Faz added.

While race activists continue to go after Faz online, she has plenty of supporters who note that the entire incident only serves to further diminish the legitimacy of the Black Lives Matter movement.
