Donald Trump’s wife, Melania, joined the Republican presidential front-runner in her first broadcast interview since her husband declared his presidential bid. Barbara Walters interviewed the potential first lady, as well as Trump’s children for an upcoming ABC News “20/20” program.
Portions of the interview, which will be shown in its entirety Friday at 10 p.m. EST, will be scattered across “Good Morning America,” “Nightline” and other ABC News shows, leading up to the full airing.
In a piece featured on “World News Tonight” Tuesday, the GOP candidate told Walters he would ban all Syrian refugees, Muslim or Christian, from entering the U.S., adding that it was difficult to distinguish between the two.
“The problem is, we don’t [know] if they’re Christian or not,” Trump said. “We have no idea who the people are. They have no papers. They have no paperwork. You can get forged documents very easily in Syria.”
Watch the portion of Trump with Walters, beginning at the 1:18 mark.
