Talk about “Dumb and DUMBER!”
When it comes to the Obama administration’s reaction to the terrorist attack in Paris that killed at least 132 people, it’s a toss up between President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry on who has made the stupidest remarks.
Obama was busy attacking Republicans and Kerry, who never seems to know when to shut up, made a “mindbendingly awful” comparison, as one social media user astutely described it, between last week’s attack and the terrorist attack on the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.
The attack on the Paris offices of Charlie Hebdo was also at the hands of Islamic extremists, but Kerry appeared to suggest there was some “rationale” behind that attack.

“There’s something different about what happened from Charlie Hebdo, and I think everybody would feel that,” Kerry said in remarks at the U.S. embassy in Paris on Tuesday. “There was a sort of particularized focus and perhaps even a legitimacy in terms of – not a legitimacy, but a rationale that you could attach yourself to somehow and say, okay, they’re really angry because of this and that.”

Can you imagine the media meltdown had a Republican official said this? Either way, conservative talk radio host Tammy Bruce appeared on the Fox Business Network to demand that Kerry resign:

The reaction on social media was a toss up between those tagging Kerry as an idiot and those calling for his resignation. Here’s a sampling from Twitter:

@KyleWOrton @elizabeth_6877 Hey @JohnKerry, there is no sane rationale for murdering someone over a cartoon.

@KyleWOrton @ladydshops He does an outstanding Neville Chamberlain impersonation though….

Kerry all but says the Charlie Hebdo attack was justified. Astounding. https://t.co/CMOVkwzb7y

This is mind bendingly awful, and will be treated as inadvertently revelatory. https://t.co/8khpBM0wED

Can Kerry please resign and we can just go without a SoS for the next year? https://t.co/fRaZtfvXBk

@OrwellForks It would cut down on the embarrassing factor. Maybe countries would start taking us seriously again.
— coolrick (@allainrick) November 17, 2015
@OrwellForks & can obama join him in resigning, we would do so much better without either of these two lunatics!
— psl (@SkePatt) November 17, 2015
@OrwellForks @KyleWOrton Obama: “John, go out there and make people forget what a gigantic tool I was yesterday” Kerry: “Sir, yes Sir!”

It’s embarrassing that John Kerry is our Secretary of State. Rationale for #CharlieHebdo? Really? Time to resign …
— eric ritvo (@TheRitvo) November 18, 2015
John Kerry should immediately resign or be fired. Saying there was a rationale for the Charlie hebdo massacre is inexcusable
