FBI investigates weapons stolen from Massachusetts armory: ‘How does that even happen?’

Less than two days after the devastating terror attack by Islamic extremists in Paris, France, which killed at least 132 people, weapons were discovered stolen from the U.S. Army Reserve Center in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker reported the burglary at a Sunday afternoon press conference. The FBI was brought to assist state law enforcement, and at that time, it was not known how many or what types of weapons were stolen, according to MyFoxBoston WFXT.

In a Fox News Monday morning update, it was reported that six M-4 carbines and 10 pistols were among the missing.

“We have entered those weapons into NCIC, a national database, and alerted our federal, state and local law enforcement partners,” FBI spokeswoman Kristin Setera said.

“We are collaborating with Massachusetts State Police, Worcester Police and others to locate and recover these weapons immediately.”

She added that there was no evidence to suggest that the burglary was connected with terrorism.
