Donald Trump weighed in on the Mizzou madness Thursday calling the protests “disgusting.”
He also had a few choice words for the faculty members that resigned – “weak” and “ineffective.”
Irritated Americans have watched a growing number of student protesters on college campuses demand “safe spaces” while shunning free speech.
Not someone to mince words, GOP presidential front runner Donald Trump gave his two cents over the developing controversy.
“I think it’s disgusting,” Trump told Fox Business Channel’s Maria Bartiromo in a phone interview.
Details about the “racist” incidents that incited the Mizzou protests have been sketchy at best, and mounting evidence suggests most, if not all of it, was fabricated.
Yet, two prominent leaders at the University of Missouri, including MU System President Tim Wolfe, resigned under pressure from the protesters – something Trump finds reprehensible.
“How we hire people like this… Trump should have been the chancellor of that university. Believe me. There would be no resignation,” Trump said.
“I think the two people that resigned are weak, ineffective people,” Trump said.
“I think that when they resigned, they set something in motion that’s gonna be a disaster for the next long period of time.”
Trump is not alone in his assertion.
