Here’s what happened outside ‘SNL’ studios Saturday night

While things went relatively smoothly inside NBC’s studios as “Saturday Night Live” aired, the same couldn’t be said out on the streets.

Trump protesters and supporters clashed outside the SNL studio, while the audience was enjoying the show inside.

LGBT and “racial justice” activist Jimmy Rivera tweeted the raw emotion coming from a pro-illegal immigration group.

But Trump’s supporters were also present, albeit quieter. Huffington Post senior political reporter and politics managing editor Amanda Terkel tweeted:

The League of United Latin American Citizens tweeted this, and got some pushback:

Terkel followed up with this tweet — but is the protest a failure? Some thought so.

James, a US Uncut video journalist used a favorite Trump-ism to describe the scene.

And Terkel continued reporting the happenings in photographs outside 3o Rockefeller Plaza to Trump Tower.

The anti-Trump crowd even bused protesters in from out of town.

Despite the buses, they were still only able to garner a bit over 100 protesters. There were probably more people in the audience enjoying the show.

And what was the result of all this activity? Zilch. The show went on and the demonstrators only hurt themselves.
