Watch Uber driver mace violent and drunk customer in the face

By Guy BentleyDC NEWS

An Uber driver in Newport Beach, Calif. filmed the moment he maced a passenger who violently assaulted him after being kicked out of the car for being too drunk.

Driver Edward Caban prematurely ended the ride because the passenger, later identified as 32-year-old Benjamin Golden, was too intoxicated to give him directions and had previously refused to punch in his destination.

Golden argued with Caban and demanded he start a new trip to take him to park Newport. Caban refused and asked Golden to leave the vehicle several times and threatened to call the cops.

Golden began slapping and swearing at Caban repeatedly and attempted to slam his head against the car window. But when he leaned down to pick up his hat, Caban maced Golden in the face until he fled the vehicle.

Police were on the scene within minutes. They found Golden vomiting from the mace. Caban uploaded the dashcam video to YouTube Oct. 30, writing:

The passenger was arrested. I understand it just a job hazard, but UBER DRIVERS DON’T GET PAID ENOUGH TO DEAL WITH THIS STUFF!
