Steak ‘n Shake waitress allegedly wore ‘VERY disturbing’ dead cop costume; cop’s wife took action

An Ohio woman was infuriated with the management of a local restaurant where she said a server wore a deplorable anti-police costume for Halloween.

Christal Smith complained on the Steak ‘n Shake Facebook page on Saturday night that she and her family, including her police officer husband, went to the restaurant chain’s Mulberry, Ohio location on Halloween and were shocked to see one of the servers dressed as a police officer with a bullet hole painted on her head.

BizPac Review spoke with Paul, one of the location’s managers, on Sunday, who insisted that the waitress was dressed as a zombie and was now scared to come to work since commotion about the costume began.

“The little girl is scared to come to work,” Paul told BizPac Review. “She was dressed as a zombie. There may have been something on the costume that said police but it was clearly a zombie.”

The manager on duty Saturday night also defended the costume, according to Smith.

Steak ‘n Shake’s corporate office responded to BPR viz Facebook Monday.

We absolutely support local police and law enforcement, and do not condone this behavior,” it wrote. “We’re currently investigating the incident.”

No picture of the costume was posted but screenshots of Smith’s complaint spread like wildfire on social media with many others slamming the company.
