Arnold Schwarzenegger has yet to officially endorse anyone for president, but he put his muscle behind one GOP presidential candidate.
The former governor of California spoke at a Los Angeles fundraiser for John Kasich on Friday and heaped praise on the Ohio governor.
“He believes, like I do, in being a public servant, not a party servant,” Schwarzenegger said, according to CNN.

Schwarzenegger donated $2,700 to Kasich’s war chest, the maximum amount allowed by law in a primary, his spokesman Daniel Ketchell told CNN, while emphasizing that it did not constitute an endorsement.
“Governor Schwarzenegger was happy to write a check for his old friend who he also thinks is a tremendous leader. You will know when he makes an endorsement,” Ketchell told CNN.
Schwarzenegger is set to take over the job of another GOP presidential candidate when he begins hosting duties on NBC’s “The Celebrity Apprentice,” formerly hosted by Donald Trump.
