While the mainstream media is doing a victory dance over Hillary Clinton’s testimony before the Select Committee on Benghazi, Megyn Kelly blasted them for leaving out the most pertinent part of what was discovered.
Starting her show with a tongue-in-cheek comment about her new haircut – “notice anything different?,” Kelly said the media ignored an email uncovered at the hearings that Clinton sent to the Egyptian prime minister acknowledging the Benghazi attacks were not about an anti-Islam YouTube video.
“The major media outlets have not only ignored the single biggest piece of news to emerge from yesterday’s hearings, they have declared Hillary Clinton victorious,” Kelly said. “This despite clear-cut evidence she, and other administration officials, repeatedly misled the American people in the days and weeks after the terror attack.”
While video clips were aired of Clinton, Susan Rice, President Obama and others blaming an anti-Islam video on YouTube for the attacks, Kelly noted that Clinton’s email to the Egyptian prime minister proved she knowingly lied.
“For the first time the public saw an email detailing a conference call Hillary Clinton had on September 12, 2012 with the Egyptian prime minister,” Kelly said, before reading what was written.
“We know that the attack in Libya had nothing to do with the film. It was a planned attack – not a protest,” Kelly read. “Based on the information we saw today we believe the group that claimed responsibility for this was affiliated with al Qaeda.
“She knew the film was not to blame,” Kelly said. “And yet she and others looked into the cameras and again and again told us a different story.”
Fat chance Clinton’s friends in the media will mention that.
