Rubio says Trump’s all WRONG about which president to blame for 9/11

Rubio Hard LineFlorida Sen. Marco Rubio thinks Donald Trump is way off the mark for blaming President George W. Bush for the terrorist attacks of 9/11.

The Republican presidential hopeful appeared on Newsmax’s “The Hard Line” on Tuesday and laid part of the blame for the attacks at the feet of the Clinton administration.

“It’s just not true, it’s wrong,” he told host, Ed Berliner. “What he said is just not true.

“The truth is that President George W. Bush inherited all sorts of things from the Clinton administration, including intelligence agencies and others who weren’t doing a very good job,” Rubio said..

President Bill Clinton did not take al-Qaida seriously, the Florida senator said, which allowed the terrorists the cover they needed to plan the attacks.

“President Bush was only in office nine months when this happened, but that plot to conduct 9/11 and the steps that it took to bring it about, those began well before he was even sworn into office,” Rubio said, adding that Trump doesn’t’ “have a fundamental understanding of what caused 9/11.”
