A drunk Iowa college student took the television show “Scandal” too seriously and it landed her in jail.
Kelsey Jean Cousins, 20, was at the Sports Column Bar in Iowa City when she called 911 early Friday, said she was Olivia Pope from the hit ABC show and that there was a car with a bomb in it heading to the White House, according to the Iowa City Press-Citizen.
The crocked coed also told police that Cyrus Beene, a villain on the show, was outside of the bar.
According to the police report, police arrived on the scene to find Cousins reeked of alcohol, had bloodshot and watery eyes, slurred speech and “everything that the defendant stated was nonsensical and rambling.”
Cousins reportedly had a blood alcohol level of .206 and told police she used a fake ID to obtain the inebriants.
She was arrested and charged with the misdemeanor crimes of making a 911 non-emergency call and public intoxication.
