Asked a question she didn’t see coming, Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz refused to acknowledge whether her own children were human beings while in the womb.
A MRC-TV reporter caught up with Wasserman Schultz after Tuesday’s Democratic presidential debate in Las Vegas, and asked a simple “yes” or “no” question about how she saw her own children before they were born.
But instead of answering, the DNC head responded with canned talking points about “reproductive rights.”
When asked about her children, Wasserman Schultz said that she has twin 16-year-olds and a 12-year-old.
“In your opinion, were they human beings before they were born?” the reporter asked.
“You know, I believe that every woman has the right to make their own reproductive choices,” the Florida Democrat answered.

The reporter pressed Wasserman Schultz on what she believes about her children.
“That I had the right to make my own reproductive choices, which I was glad to have and which I was proud to have,” she reiterated.
“So were they human beings?” the reporter asked. “Just yes or no.”
“They’re human beings today,” Wasserman Schultz replied. “And I’m glad I had the opportunity to make my own reproductive choices, as – a right that every woman has and should maintain.”
