Israeli officials are proving who the ‘JV team’ really is.
A top Israeli minister fired back at incendiary comments made by White House spokesman John Kirby on Wednesday. Kirby raised eyebrows, and the ire of many, when he suggested Israel was equally responsible for escalating Palestinian terrorist activity that has gripped the country over the past several weeks.
Kirby went so far as to say Israeli individuals have been equally “guilty of terrorism.”
.@statedeptspox re #Israel: “individuals on both sides of this divide have proven capable of, and in our view, guilty of acts of terrorism”

Kirby walked back his comment a bit by saying Israel had a right to defend itself, but maintained Israel was using “excessive force” to do so. The admin’s inflammatory comments prompted a swift response from Israel’s Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan that aired on Israel Army radio and later on social media.
“The fact that the State Department falls for the lies they are presented is in fact very strange, amateurish and even worse, especially when we have full documentation of the events,” Erdan said, according to Israel Hayom.
“The Israel Police do not hurt any innocent people. The Israel Police and the citizens of Israel engage in self-defense and life-saving actions under the confines of the law.”
Erdan called the State Department traditionally “hostile” toward Israel, but didn’t end there.
“Any sane person knows full well how the police in the U.S. would react if terrorists armed with axes and knives tried to murder civilians in Washington or New York,” he said.
“There should be a limit to the hypocrisy.”
Erden took to Twitter and challenged Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry to clarify the administration’s position. Many on social media predict Israeli officials will be waiting indefinitely for any kind of meaningful response from the White House.
@mozgovaya @statedeptspox How much clearer can it get? Obama supports Islamic terror at every turn. Clearly thrown Israel under the bus! — Aaron A Brauer (@brauer64) October 14, 2015
@mozgovaya @statedeptspox in other words, those Israelis need to stop jumping in front of the Palestinian knives and this prob goes away

Just last week, Obama bombed a hospital. Now his administration is accusing Israel of terrorism. — L (@OrwellForks) October 14, 2015
Lest anyone forget about the Obama ‘oops’ of bombing a Doctors Without Borders hospital.
Bibi Netanyahu appears undeterred by the Obama admin, and determined to do what is necessary to protect Israeli citizens.
