Nation of Islam leader, Louis Farrakhan has been busy stirring the pot in anticipation of the Million Man March to take place on October 10, in Washington D.C., prompting a politically incorrect warning from Capitol police.
The Nation of Islam is planning the rally to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March. And while the original march was peaceful, times have changed – and not of the better.
The intelligence office of the U.S. Capitol police sent an email newsletter warning all 1,800 officers of potential violence.
Taken from the Washington Post:
The newsletter, distributed via e-mail, warned that Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan “has been accused of inciting violence against both Caucasians and police officers.”
The newsletter acknowledges that there was no violence during the original march, which drew hundreds of thousands of black men to Washington and ranks as one of the nation’s largest civil rights demonstrations. But “given today’s negative racial climate and the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement,” it warns, “there are legitimate concerns that the second march may not be as peaceful.”
Not everyone at the U.S. Capitol Police Department is on board with that sentiment. Local labor union president, James Konczos, claims many officers were offended by the “race baiting” newsletter, the Post reported.
Konczos is calling for Capitol Police Chief Kim Dine’s resignation over the email that he said contained “inflammatory comments.”
Dine tried distancing himself from the newsletter, and told the Post, it “does not reflect the viewpoint or values of the United States Capitol Police, nor was it intended to provide instruction or guidance to our employees.”
Last week, Farrakhan had some “inflammatory comments” of his own while discussing the upcoming march, as reported by Breitbart, and warned that both Donald Trump and ISIS are “plagues” against America.
“The battle is on and the plagues are coming down on America,” Farrakhan said on the “The Rock Newman Show.”
“You need to be afraid today because the God of justice is present now. That’s why he said vengeance is mine.
“I’m not afraid. But you need to be, and especially when you see what’s coming up, because as a man soweth the same shall he also reap.”
Dine might want to think twice about distancing himself from that newsletter.
