It’s very likely that a college student, with his heart set on macaroni and cheese, came to regret that urge once he slept off his apparent drunken binge.
Luke V. Gatti, 19, a student at the University of Connecticut, was captured on video getting into a heated confrontation with the student cafeteria manager, who had refused to serve him because he was drinking alcohol in the facility, according to the Hartford Courant.
“Just give me some f***ing bacon jalapeño mac ‘n cheese!” the student demanded.
The manager told him several times to leave, but Gatti was having none of it, getting more verbally and physically abusive, the more he didn’t get his way.
“I just denied you service. You can’t come in here with an open bottle of booze, dude, think about it,” the manager said, pointing to his head. “Think!”
But the “dude” wasn’t buying what the manager was selling.
“Please, just let me get some mac and cheese,” Gatti begged, hoping the nice-guy approach delivered better results. “I’m very hungry, man.”

‘Now he wants to come… stand on the corpses of our loved ones’
“You are not welcome here,” the manager replied. “You have booze on your breath. You told me you are under age. I just saw you with a bottle of booze, you just drank it right in front of me. Add them up, one, two, three, four, five.”
A female staff member had no better luck penetrating Gatti’s alcohol-induced stupor.
Several times, Gatti is seen shoving the manager, but after one time too many, a cook grabbed him from behind and took him to the floor.
“I told you, you don’t touch my boss. Stay down!” the cook said.
Gatti was charged with second-degree breach of peace and first-degree criminal trespass.
At the tender age of 19, Gatti is no stranger to trouble — the Courant reported that he “was previously a student at the University of Massachusetts and was twice arrested last year on disorderly conduct charges.”
All in all, the high drama proved to be entertaining, with the video having been seen more than 1.5 million times as of this writing. But another factor stands out in the incident:
America has become a nation of watchers… drunk kids being belligerent is an age old occurrence, particularly to anyone who has worked in the food industry. But the difference is, there was a time when Gatti’s buddies would’ve snatched him up and gotten out of Dodge before he got himself into real trouble.
Today, those friends stand around, along with dozens of other students, and record the incident on their smart phones and laugh about it.
