As Marco Rubio rises in the polls, he draws more scrutiny. But the Republican presidential contender never bargained for the”weird” incident that took place Tuesday at a campaign event in New York City.
A man was physically removed from the event after he went off on a bizarre, unexplained rant about wire fraud, and then accused Rubio of cheating on his wife.
“How is the Nicole Lapin, Warren Buffett multi-billion dollar wire fraud going? I heard there was a big loss in London,” the man said.
Unable to follow along with the man’s odd line of questioning, Rubio gave the event moderator a confused look.

“How do you plan to fix accountability in courts?” the man continued. “How do you plan to deal with fraud?”
He then got to the money line.
“The answer is you can’t,” he said. “You cheated on your wife in Florida. I think you should drop out of the race. Your polling numbers are too low to win.”
Having had enough, the moderator stood up and told the man he was no longer welcome at the event as another person physically pushed him toward the exit.
The man appeared to be reading the outlandish comments from his cellphone.
Either way, Rubio showed he has a sense of humor. After the moderator apologized, Rubio said with a laugh, “It was actually kind of weird, anyway.”
