The on again, off again feud between Republican presidential contender Donald Trump and Fox News — with host Megyn Kelly in particular — appears to have run its course. The real estate developer actually thanked Kelly.
On Friday, Kelly had Fox News digital politics editor Chris Stirewalt and Fox News host Howard Kurtz on “The Kelly File” to discuss two highly unflattering and condescending articles directed against Trump’s wife, Melania.
The Washington Post described her as “a new model” and The New York Times described her as “a silent partner” and “mannequin.” Both pieces concentrated on her former modeling career and her immigrant status.
“If someone else did this about a Democrat The New York Times would be crying ‘sexism,’ “ Kelly exclaimed. “But they can do it because it’s Donald Trump’s wife and he’s running as a Republican. It’s really disrespectful”

Shortly after this segment aired, Trump tweeted his appreciation:

Note the way he phrased that: “you will like her,” not you would like her, suggesting that they will meet sometime soon.
