In response to Thursday’s horrific mass murder of Christian students at an Oregon community college, Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson launched a campaign of Americans proclaiming their faith.
The hashtag #IamaChristian is being widely displayed in social media.
Eight students and a professor were shot and killed by a disturbed loner, who specifically targeted Christians, in an Umpqua Community College classroom before police were able to take the shooter down.
President Barack Obama has made two speeches since the Umpqua massacre, and failed to mention that Christians were targeted in either address. This prompted Newsmax TV host Steve Malzberg to ask if he would have failed to mention faith had Muslim students been targeted.
Carson, a retired pediatric neurosurgeon, decided to promote what the president failed to mention. He got the ball rolling with this post on his Facebook page.

The media often reports that America is turning its back on faith and becoming more of a secular society.
This social media campaign begs to differ.
