Oregon sheriff becomes scapegoat for shooting; Libs brutally SHAME him for fighting White House

Anti-Second Amendment fanatics filled social media with gun-control vitriol immediately after news of the Oregon shootings broke. And one man quickly became the target of their collective rage – but it wasn’t the killer.

County Sheriff John Hanlin is the lead law enforcement officer in Roseburg, Ore., where the massacre took place. Hanlin became the left’s perfect scapegoat when a powerful pro-Second Amendment letter he wrote to Vice President Joe Biden surfaced.

Hanlin’s letter explained, in detail, why his main duty was to uphold the Constitutional rights of American citizens, and was sent soon after the 2012 school shooting in Newtown, Conn.

“This letter serves two purposes. First, to make a formal request that you NOT tamper with or attempt to amend the 2nd Amendment. Gun control is NOT the answer to preventing heinous crimes like school shootings. Any actions against, or in disregard for our U.S. Constitution and 2nd Amendment rights by the current administration would be irresponsible and an indisputable insult to the American people.”

Those words are now being thrown in the face of the sheriff who stood up for the Constitutional rights of the people under his jurisdiction.

Instead of being applauded for having the courage to tell Biden that he “will NOT violate” his “Constitutional Oath,” he is being berated for a heinous crime he didn’t commit.

Hanlin is not the lone target in the left’s growing witch-hunt. The list of scapegoats includes the National Rifle Association and, apparently, the Republican Party as a whole.
