A CNN military analyst understands what progressives don’t. Gun free zones are sitting duck zones.
Retired U.S. Air Force intelligence officer Lt. Col. Rick Francona, is among those who believe that Umpqua Community College being a “gun free zone” may have been one of the factors that led the shooter, 26-year-old Chris Harper Mercer, to choose it.
“The gun free zones are areas that tell licensed gun owners that you are not allowed to carry your weapon in this facility,” he said on CNN, Thursday. ““If you’re going to perpetrate some act, you know that most people are not going to be armed.”
