No Hillary poor-mouthing! Trump goes on offensive after Forbes ‘cuts’ his net worth in HALF

Unlike Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump wants you to know he is far from being “dead broke.”

The real estate mogul and presidential candidate is now picking a fight with Forbes, claiming that the business magazine greatly underestimated his net worth, resulting in him not being included on the magazine’s most recent list of the 100 richest American businessmen.

TrumpAccording to an article set to appear in October’s edition of Forbes, Trump – who says his net worth is roughly $10 billion – even invited representatives from the magazine to his office to try to convince them that they had it wrong after they valued his net worth at only $4.5 billion. (He ranked as the 121st richest person in America due to the magazine’s estimate.)

In an interview with CNBC’s John Harwood on Tuesday, Trump argued that Forbes has no idea what it’s talking about, saying the writers did not adequately value the worth of his “brand.”

“I read this morning that you’re a $4.5 billion man,” host John Harwood began the interview. “What do you think of their list?”

“Well, I think their list – I mean, No. 1, I’m a private company,” Trump said. “They don’t really know my assets very well … They don’t know a lot of the things I own. I don’t think they give me any value for brand and my brand is very valuable.”

Trump wouldn’t get into specifics, but he was clearly perturbed by Forbes’ low-balled estimate of his billionaire status. After all, Trump’s not ashamed of his wealth. In fact, he celebrates it.

Whether he’s worth $4.5 billion or $10 billion, one thing is for sure: He doesn’t have to scrounge around for $250,000 speaking gigs in order to get through “tough times.”
