Fox News voters push Fiorina into the top tier, and one answer showed why

fiorinaRepublican presidential hopeful Carly Fiorina’s performance in Wednesday night’s CNN primary debate was the surprise of the evening, with one moment standing out above all.

It was her response to Donald Trump’s “look at that face” comment.

Although Trump claimed the remark was in reference to the former Hewlett-Packard CEO’s “persona,” she wasn’t buying it.

“I think women all over this country heard very clearly what Mr. Trump said,” she said to cheers and applause.

Pollster Frank Luntz had a focus group observe the debate, and most of its members walked in supporting Trump. What a difference a debate makes.

“She was so well-prepared,” one woman said. “She spoke with authority. She handed it right back to him.”

“We’ve all been attracted to Donald Trump’s strength, but tonight that was the downfall, that was the problem tonight, because we’ve all been bothered by his personal attacks. And she directly approached that and directly dealt with it,” a man added.

Everyone agreed that Fiorina was the big winner, beginning with Fox News’ favorite commentator, Charles Krauthammer.

New York Post columnist John Podhoretz agreed, and tweeted this question:
