Ultimate Fighting Championship’s female sensation and all around badass Ronda Rousey is set to take on an iconic movie role.
Variety reported Wednesday that Rousey, who is arguably the UFC’s biggest star, will star in a reboot of the cult classic “Road House.”
The 28-year-old will step into the role of a bouncer at one of the toughest bars in Missouri, a role made famous by the late Patrick Swayze in the 1989 film.
According to Variety, Rousey is excited about the idea but first reached out to Swayze’s widow, Lisa Niemi, for her blessing before agreeing to do the film, which Niemi happily gave.
Production is set to begin in 2016.
