‘The VA is lying’: Fla veteran spends own money on BOLD billboards warning that VA is killing people – A Florida Marine veteran is making his displeasure with the Department of Veterans Affairs known in a big way, while trying to start a national movement to improve veterans’ healthcare. South Florida cyclists protest against Iran nuclear deal in 15-mile ride – A group of local cyclists took a ride around the city in protest of the recent support from a Florida congresswoman to the Obama administration’s controversial Iran nuclear deal, Monday morning. The group of cyclists rode 15 miles in protest of U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s decision to support the accord. “Sixty one percent of Floridians are against this deal,” said a protester. Rep. Lois Frankel opposes Iran deal – Rep. Lois Frankel, D-West Palm Beach, said this afternoon she opposes the Iran nuclear deal “because it legitimizes Iran’s nuclear program after 15 years and gives Iran access to billions of dollars without a commitment to cease its terrorist activity. Speaker contender Eric Eisnaugle pens op-ed blasting top-down House leadership – Rep. Eric Eisnaugle put pen to paper this weekend and wrote a scathing op-ed in the Orlando Sentinel calling for an end to “autocracy” in the state House’s internal affairs. Citing a regime of strictly enforced loyalty and near-universal deference to leadership – which he described as a “pyramid of power” – Eisnaugle blasted the House’s prevailing culture in his hometown paper’s Sunday edition.
