Protester gets clocked in face by Trump security guard, as others run around in KKK costumes

Both sides are threatening to file criminal charges after a protester outside Trump Tower grabbed one of Donald Trump’s security guards from behind and got a right cross to the face in return.

The incident occurred Thursday as protesters gathered outside, some in Ku Klux Klan costumes, to call the 2016 Republican presidential front-runner a racist while Trump was inside his New York City building signing a loyalty pledge to the Republican Party.

According to the Daily Caller, Trump’s director of security, Keith Schiller, grabbed a sign that read “Trump – Make America Racist Again” and began to walk back inside the building when the protester, identified by NY1 as Efraín Galicia, lunged at him and grabbed him from behind.

Schiller swung around and delivered a punch to the man’s face, sending him reeling.

Galicia vowed to file charges and said he was treated like Univision host Jorge Ramos was when Trump’s security removed him from a press conference.

The Trump campaign in turn told the New York Times that it would “likely be pressing charges” because Schiller was “jumped from behind.”

The confrontation was documented on Twitter by CNN reporter M.J. Lee and others.

Several tweeters chimed in to side with the security guard.
