Fox News’ Elisabeth Hasselbeck angered progressives from coast to coast on Monday after she dared to ask an honest question about the Black Lives Matter Movement.
“Why has the #BlackLivesMatter movement not been classified yet as a hate group?” Hasselbeck asked on “Fox and Friends.” “I mean, how much more has to go in this direction before someone actually labels it as such?”
Hasselbeck was questioning conservative commentator, author, and outspoken African-American Kevin Jackson on the Black Lives Matter movement’s role in the escalating and increasingly deadly rift between police and certain black communities.
Jackson called Friday’s execution-style killing of Texas Deputy Darren Goforth “tragic” and a “stain on the nation.” He said Saturday’s Black Lives Matter march, that seemed to celebrate Goforth’s murder by chanting “Pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon,” at the Minnesota Sate Fair, was “par for the course.”
Hasselbeck took an enormous amount of criticism for her line of questioning. The feminist blog, Jezebel took it to an ugly level by asking why isn’t “Hasselbeck classified as a hate group?”

This morning, Hasselbeck answered all of her critics with this thoughtful tweet:

It’s hard to argue with that.
As far as an honest answer to Hasselbeck’s original question about BLM being classified as a hate group?
“Well they should do it, but unfortunately it’s being financed by the leftists,” Jackson said. “Ironically it’s people who have nothing, really no concern at all about black lives. People like George Soros.”
“The sad part about it is, the impact it will have in the black community, Jackson added. “It takes away from what really is the problem in the black communities, which is a lack of whole black families.”
UPDATE: This post has been changed to include Hasselbeck’s response on Tuesday.
