The inevitable “Call Me Caitlyn” Halloween costume is finally on the shelves, and liberals are throwing a fit.
Costume vendor Spirit Halloween is under fire from transgender advocates after it started selling a version of the outfit Bruce “Call Me Caitlyn” Jenner wore on the cover of Vanity Fair.Arguing that the unisex costume – complete with wig, bodice, and a sash printed with the words “Call Me Caitlyn” – encourages “transphobia,” gay and lesbian advocates flocked to social media to pressure the company into dropping the item, according to the Daily Mail.
“What Kind of society are we to allow people to mock @Caitlyn_Jenner on Halloween with a costume!” wrote one Twitter user.
The answer, of course, is a “Free” society, but the PC police don’t generally care about freedom of speech when the fragile feelings of liberal groups are on the line.
“This is so freaking mean and cruel. Cait is courageous and beautiful and yes even a role model. How dare people,” wrote another user.
There was even a number of petitions circulating demanding that Spirit Halloween remove the costume.
The outrage, however, doesn’t seem to be having much of an effect on the costume’s popularity. At least two more online retailers have already adopted the concept and started selling similar “Call Me Caitlyn” ensembles.
Liberal hand-wringers aside, most social media users apparently still have a sense of humor, and made it clear that a little fun isn’t any reason for a temper tantrum.
@Femail @MailOnline Its a hilarious! If s/he puts herself out there she should be ready for this. Enough of the pc garbage.

The PC police might not like it, but Jenner is likely to be a big hit at Halloween parties this year.
Now we’re just waiting for the Rachel Dolezal costume to make its debut.
