Oh, boy: Did Hillary’s spokeswoman just call her STUPID?

Hillary surprisedTo listen to Hillary Clinton’s spokeswoman, the former secretary of state just isn’t the brightest bulb in the ceiling.

And the reason her candidate stored all her official email on her own homebrew server is not complicated at all: She just didn’t think it through.

Jennifer Palmieri, Clinton’s communications director, appeared Wednesday on “With All Due Respect” with Bloomberg Politics co-host John Heilemann, where she may as well have called her boss “stupid.”

“I’ve encountered this a lot in politics where people think that the answer is a lot more complicated than it really is,” Palmieri told Heilemann. “She’s answered this many times and she did have her own email account. Others had done it before and it was just more convenient and she kept it like that, and she didn’t really—that’s the thing, she didn’t really think it through.”

That clears things up quite perfectly. The commencement speaker at her Wellesley College graduation, graduate of Yale Law School, attorney, former first lady, former United States senator and former secretary of state just couldn’t figure out having her personal email account would cause a problem when she used it to conduct the people’s business.

She just didn’t think it through.

If it was just a huge mistake, America should just forgive Clinton and elect her president, because the country needs someone in the White House who doesn’t think things through.

Palmieri suggested Clinton should get a do-over for not thinking through the consequences of her decisions, because “She has said, had she, she would have done it differently,” she said.

If it were possible for Clinton’s own spokeswoman to dig the hole deeper than the candidate herself has excavated, Palmieri certainly tried, answering with a reference to Tom Brady and “deflategate” when pressed about what Clinton ordered to be done with the emails.

“To be deleted and beyond that I don’t know and beyond that I don’t understand—this is like, everyone’s an expert on inflating footballs and now everybody’s an expert on wiping servers. Like, I don’t know how that all works,” she said.

Capping off what should have been damage control, but has become damage enrichment, Palmieri said about her candidate’s shrug on Tuesday, “People always say we need to see authentic Hillary, and if she gets a little frustrated, then you get to see that too.”

America has seen the authentic Hillary, and based on her poll numbers crashing with stupefying momentum, they are getting the picture all too clearly.
