You mad bro? Jay-Z not on Obama’s vacation playlist

obama.JayZ-headerPresident Barack Obama’s 17-day vacation at a $22.5 million Martha’s Vineyard home includes pretty much everything we’ve come to expect him and his family to demand except for one thing — no Jay-Z.

The rapper must have a case of the sads.

Although the rapper has performed at Obama fundraisers, he and his wife raised $4 million at one such event in 2012 for the president’s re-election and even recorded a remix of “My President” in honor of Obama’s rise to the White House, the president won’t be listening to a single Zay-Z rap, according to The Washington Free Beacon.

Obama tweeted:

The Free Beacon reported:

The president’s select songs include titles from Coldplay, Justin Timberlake, John Legend, Eryka Badu and other modern music stars as well as classics from the Temptations and the Rolling Stones.

Obama even added a track recorded by Jay-Z’s wife, Beyonce, to one of the playlists, a single called “Superpower” that the songstress performs with Frank Ocean on her most recent album.

Neither list, however, includes even a single song from Jay-Z, despite the fact that the rapper claimed to be friends with the president just two years ago.

“I’ve spoken to him on the phone and had texts from Obama,” the rapper said during a 2013 appearance on a New York radio station.

As for that playlist the president released by “popular request,” there are a lot of other things that have been popularly requested.

Things such as documentation regarding the Benghazi attack, the IRS outrage, “Operation Fast and Furious,” secret dealings with Iran and a whole host of other scandals besieging the White House.

But apparently we’ll just have to be happy with the playlist, which is doubtful anyone much cares about — except for Jay-Z.
