Hillary sics campus cops on Cuba deal protesters; she had to do this WHERE?

CrowdConservative demonstrators were herded around like cattle by campus cops at a public university to keep them away from Democrat presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton and her invitation-only appearance.

Hillary needed the cops because she was trying to drum up support for her campaign and implore Congress to lift the trade embargo against Cuba. The problem was her venue: Florida International University in Miami, the American city that has the best reason to hate and fear the Cuban communist regime.

In a cell phone video acquired by Campus Reform, a conservative web-based collegiate news site, officers can be seen and heard moving the demonstrators away from where Hillary was scheduled to appear.

A woman narrating the footage explains that everyone is ordered to move to an improvised “free speech area.”

“You guys will be subject to arrest, you understand,” an officer can be heard saying.

If Clinton’s choice of Miami seems odd to make a “we love Castro” speech, the precise location on campus where she made her remarks was odder still. It was across the street from Memorial Cubano, which recognizes victims of the brutal Castro brothers.

One of the student demonstrators, FIU senior Ray Anthony, is a third-generation Cuban-American. He told Campus Reform it was “insulting to a Cuban community like ours to come to our community and speak right across from a memorial that commemorates hundreds of people that fell to the Castro regime.”

But if the cops kept them from being seen, the demonstrators made every effort to be sure Hillary heard them.

“Essentially, the police corralled us away and continually moved us back, but thankfully there were some passionate advocates who have been abused by the Castro regime that continued to be vocal,” Anthony said.

Here’s the video obtained by Campus Reform.

The Free Cuba Foundation, which works for the establishment of a free and democratic Cuba, was on hand and tweeted:

But the campus cops did their job — at the expense of free political speech.

After her appearance Clinton was able to hop aboard the private jet, wing her way back to Chappaqua where she could fire up her private server and email her supporters that everyone loves her in Miami.
