Dem-run Baltimore murder rate soars to highest in 40 years; any guesses why?

Baltimore MurdersThe city of Baltimore is learning what happens when you handcuff your own police department.

According to the Associated Press, the city has seen 45 murders in July, more than any month since August 1972.

So far this year, homicides stand at 189, 70 more than at the same time last year, while non-fatal shootings hit 366, an increase of 166 from the end of July 2014.

The surge coincides with rising murder rates in many other Democrat controlled big cities, according to USA Today.

Milwaukee, New Orleans, Chicago and St. Louis have all seen significant increases in murder rates from the same time last year, USA Today reported.

Not coincidentally, it also comes after the city’s mayor stabbed her police force in the back in the aftermath of the death of a heroin dealer in police custody set off days of rioting in “Charm City.”

Maybe, just maybe, having the police afraid of doing their jobs because they fear lack of support from mayors, police chiefs and the public might be a bad idea.

It may be tough to convince Democrat leaders, but they might want to try putting the pressure on criminals rather than the police.
