Floating the names of people thatĀ Donald Trump might consider for his Cabinet, should heĀ be elected president, could prove to be an ingenious idea.
But then, as NBA team owner Mark Cuban said recently, Trump hasĀ āchanged the gameā of politics, and his take-no-prisoners approach is resonating with the “folks” as Bill O’Reilly might say.
Eschewing the traditional approach to running for president, the billionaire Republican candidate makes the Fox News hostĀ look like a choirboy when it comes to being “bold and fresh.”
Conservative author Ann Coulter hinted, albeit jokingly, at the possibility of being secretary of the Department of Homeland Security,Ā saying there’d be “no pussyfooting aroundā with immigration under her tenure.
Trump threw out Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., as a possible selection as his attorney general on social media earlier this week.
Gowdy is chairman of the House Select Committee on Benghazi and is highly popular with the conservative wing of the GOP.

Trump also embraced the idea of having former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as a member of his hypothetical Cabinet, saying Monday that voters ālike the Sarah Palin kind of strength; you just donāt see very much of it anymore.ā
The GOP front-runner said the ex-governor was “a special person,” but did not discuss what possible Cabinet seat she mightĀ fill.
What do you think? Department of Energy? Secretary of state? Palin could have Russian President Vladimir Putin eating out of her hand in no time.
For that matter, what about the remaining Cabinet positions?
How about Ted Nugent for secretaryĀ of defense?Ā Ron Paul for treasury secretary?
Is that thinking “out of the box,” or do you have better suggestions? And what aboutĀ a possible running mate?
Well, here’s your opportunity to weigh in with your ideas. Using the “Comments” section, give us your thoughts on what would make for a conservative’s presidential “dream team.”
The cabinet seats include:
Secretary of State
Attorney General
