White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest won’t say whether President Barack Obama would veto any bill to defund Planned Parenthood in the wake of undercover videos depicting the organization’s executives bartering for the sale of harvested parts of aborted babies.
But from his answers, it appears he absolutely would.
“I don’t have a blanket principle to share with you, but I can tell you that on balance, the president would not be supportive of any sort of congressional [action] like that,” he said.

Earnest went on to say that the president doesn’t support GOP efforts to defund the abortion giant, which receives over a half-billion taxpayer dollars each year.
He referred to the pro-life group Center for Medical Progress, which did the undercover work, as “extremists” using highly edited videos to depict “grossly distorted” images.
“There is ample reason to think that this is the tried-and-true tactic from some extremists on the right to edit this video and selectively release an edited version of the video that grossly distorts the position of the person who is actually speaking on the video,” Earnest said.

During the same session, Earnest acknowledged he was “merely repeating” Planned Parenthood’s statements that the undercover videos painted a distorted picture of the organization’s harvesting and sale of aborted baby body parts.
“I’m merely repeating what I’ve seen that they [Planned Parenthood] have said,” Earnest said, catching himself mid-sentence.
In short, the White House is merely mouthing Planned Parenthood’s talking points.
